England Netball is firmly committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment for all young people to play netball. It accepts its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all young people and protect them from poor practice, abuse and bullying. With this in mind, England Netball has developed a Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Netball Policy, Procedures and Guidelines that applies to all individuals involved in netball whether in a paid or voluntary capacity. Newbury Junior Netball Club as an affiliated England Netball Junior Club adheres to these guidelines.

Charlotte Duly is Newbury Junior Netball Club’s appointed Club Safeguarding Officer. Any member who has concerns about child protection or safeguarding issues should contact Charlotte who will ensure that any issue at Newbury Junior Netball Club is dealt with quickly and with sensitivity.​

All of our coaches are England Netball Enhanced DBS checked, First Aid trained and have been on Safeguarding and Child Protection courses.
